We achieve our mission through collaboration, cooperation, and application of business expertise by:

Dedicating ourselves to excellence in customer service.
We consider our customers to be Radford University students, our faculty and staff, the taxpayers of the Commonwealth and those individuals with whom we conduct business. We must listen to our customers, seek an understanding of their needs, and do our best to satisfy those needs within the guidelines governing public procurement. We will continually seek to improve the delivery of services to our customers.

Adhering to the highest standards of fairness and ethical behavior.
Integrity is an essential part of maintaining positive and trusting relationships with our University and Business constituents. We subscribe to the Code of Ethics adopted by the National Institute of Governmental Purchasing and the National Association of Educational Buyers. Our actions comply with the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia.

Providing avenues of access to business.
We hold our vendors in high regard and recognize that they provide invaluable support to our institution. We believe in treating vendors with respect and providing them with fair access to the University's business. Because we support the diversity of our University and encourage economic betterment of all our citizens, we actively support small, minority, and woman owned businesses as sources for competitively priced quality goods and services.

Practicing fiscal responsibility.
As good stewards of public resources, we actively pursue cost savings. These savings are realized through vigorous pursuit of supplier competition and compliance; strenous, informed contractual negotiations; and efficient internal operations of the Department. We seek to provide the University with the greatest value in product and services.

Employing and training people who are qualified to discharge their assigned responsibilities.
We strive to create a work environment that nurtures continuous education and professional development.
